Selecting the Transaction Mode

Closing all open documents, both data tables and control files. If available select the "Window" menu tab, then the "Close All" tab.

Once all the windows are closed, select the "File" menu tab, then the "Transaction Mode" tab and check the desired mode for the next database transaction.

note: Exclusive transactions will allow the editor to edit the database with table schemas.
note: Shared transactions will lock all visible objects and only allow the editor to edit table data.
note: Lock Free transaction mode will not allow any editing of any data within the database.
