We developed one complete central system that could govern and track all sales and orders. This allowed easier management of the system and training of new staff members as there was only one system to learn. To maximise the effectiveness of one central system, almost every function was tailored to our client’s needs, including flexible options on products, and varying tax calculations. As there was risk in depending on one system, we also created a backup system solution as well as system health tracker to allow updates.
Oscar Wylee was a great example of mass customisation. We provided web solutions to enable management of multi-store systems, non-standard tax system and HICAPS integration.
Full customisation allowed complex discount code campaigns for frames on purchase of prescription glasses. The multiple personalised features on individual products provided a challenge for our web developers when combined with these complex discount campaigns.

We started with structuring the functions of website. After very detailed planning with our client, we implemented the site step by step. Due to the flexible nature of Magento, we were able to meet the e-commerce needs of Oscar Wylee.
Appropriate time management allowed us to publish the website at the MVP (minimum viable product) stage. Routine weekly changes were then implemented to add further features.

Since the website redesign, Oscar Wylee's sales have boosted ten-fold in 6 months. Newsletter subscribers have also grown from 11,000 to over 55,000.
Oscar Wylee is adding a booking feature which syncs with in-store store sales and services. At the moment, a third-party extension has been implemented, until further development of the central system. An online SMS system will then supplement customer outreach and communication.
An automated notification system is undergoing development for in-store pickups. Once an order is received, a barcode system will generate a notification for the customer via preferred mode of contact. This system will reduce burden on staff, and streamline the customer experience of receiving orders.
